Dr. Latisha T. Rowe, M.D., MBA

Professional Background

Dr. Rowe is Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of RoweDocs.

Dr. Rowe is a graduate of University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology.  She received her medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. Shortly after completing her residency in Family Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston she completed her Masters in Business Administration at Bauer College of Business.

She is the founder, principal owner and manager of RoweDocs one of the few women owned telehealth companies in the nation. The company focuses on management of telehealth practice nation wide and has grown to 28 partners in 6 states over 18months and currently has 600 applicants for partnership.

Clinical Positions

Dr. Rowe started out her career at Kelsey Seybold Clinic, the nations 1st accredited Accountable Care Organization as an MBA Fellow. After one year with KSC she moved on to serve as the primary physician at Excel Urgent Care Katy. The new practice grew to average 40 patients per day within one year. Her responsibilities have included supervision of Nurse Practitioners, scheduling, quality assurance and patient care. In addition to serving as CEO of RoweDocs, Dr Rowe still maintains a part time concierge medical practice.

Sonya M. Sloan, M.D.

Sonya M. Sloan, M.D., aka #OrthoDoc, has established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the male-dominated field of Orthopedic Surgery. Licensed to practice medicine in several states, she travels the country to extend the impact of her unique approach to patient care. With a B.S. in Chemistry from Texas Tech University and an M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), Dr. Sloan completed her residency at Baylor College of Medicine where she made history as both the first African-American female Intern in General Surgery and the first African-American female Orthopedic Surgery resident. She has authored several published research projects in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and a joint venture with NASA, Johnson Space Center.

MORE THAN A WHITE COAT

Dr. Sloan is the quintessential fusion of her love for science and a passion to help others. Her commitment to impacting lives reaches far beyond the hospital walls and is evidenced by her work in her community and around the world. She has established two specifically purposed organizations called, AAACP (African American Association for Christian Physicians) and a ME&WE, Inc. (Motivating & Empowering Women to Excel), a non-profit which collectively reaches over 5,000 women daily. In 2015, she, along with The Luke Church, initiated the philanthropic efforts for an international health clinic with New Missions Organization in Haiti that now serves a community of more than 100,000 men, women, and children.

Dr. Sloan currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Institute of Spirituality and Health and Health and Wellness Advisory Committee to DairyMax, a national partner to the NFL and Fuel Up to Play 60 initiative, which helps youth gain the proper daily nutrition. She has been an Adjunct Professor at Concordia University for four years with a focus on Health Care Administration. As a partner in Rowe Docs, LLC, she helped launched her Virtual OrthoDoc telemedicine venture as one of the first of its kind in healthcare for orthopedics.

In 2018, Dr. Sloan launched SLOAN STEM+Arts Summer Camp, a faith-based educational diversity initiative for minority students. She hopes to increase the number of minority students in STEM with early exposure and mentoring, understanding the impact this will make for generations to come.

In 2016, Dr. Sloan was chosen as the TEDMED Front Line Scholars. Additionally, she has been listed as one of the “Top 25 Women in Houston,” and has been featured in Essence Magazine and several national publications. 2018 will mark the release of Dr. Sloan’s first book, an ultimate guide for medical professionals to achieve success through leadership and character building traits. Her work in medicine, as well as her work in the community, has positioned her as a highly sought after public figure for health awareness and motivational speaking.

Dr. Sonya Sloan is the First Lady of “The Luke Church” in Humble, Texas, where her husband, Dr. Timothy W. Sloan, is the Senior Pastor. She is the Founder of God’s Women Rock; a non-traditional, international, annual awards concert that honors spiritual women of all walks of life who are making a difference for a greater good. Her three greatest rewards in her life are her children.

Dr. Mick Connors is a Pediatric Emergency Physician with passion for pediatrics and promotion of value driven best practice through connecting patients to the best care.

Frank North Pharm.D

Frank North earned the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree and the Executive Masters of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree from Texas Southern University. He is licensed to practice in Texas and Washington, DC.

After working in the community pharmacy setting from pharmacy technician to pharmacist for 10 years, Frank ventured into hospital pharmacy. Since then he has held positions in various practice settings from acute care to long term acute care setting. Dr. North is certified as an immunization-delivery pharmacist, in Medication Therapy Management and Point of Care Testing. He started Frank North and Associates, LLC to help create patient access to pharmacy services, education and awareness while providing services like compliance/inspections, market and brand recognition to pharmacists, pharmacies and small businesses. Additionally, Dr. North is actively involved in professional organizations and serves as Speaker for the Texas Pharmacy Association House of Delegates and National Legislative Chair for the National Pharmaceutical Association. He is passionate about entrepreneurship, telehealth, interprofessional collaborations, policy, access to care and underrepresented minorities in healthcare. Dr. North serves a Regional Manager to the Rowe Network, RowDocs – Southeast.

Angela Nunnery, M.D.

Angela Nunnery, M.D. is board certified physician in Family Medicine. She received her Medical Degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed her residency training at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Nunnery practices in Kingwood, Texas.

Dr. Nunnery's quest is for patients to be healthy and fit. In 2014, she started the Dr Nunnery's Fitness Challenge, a medical weight loss program with a team approach. "As a board-certified family physician, preventive care is my focus", states Dr. Nunnery. "In addition, the mainstay in managing America's major health conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and elevated cholesterol depends first on a healthy diet and exercise regimen. "

Dr. Nunnery has added telemedicine to her traditional medical practice, by becoming a partner in RoweDocs. Why telemedicine? Telemedicine is no longer the wave of future, it is the wave of the present and it is growing rapidly. In 2016, thirty seven percent of employers surveyed said that by years end, they expect to offer their employees telemedicine consultations, and 22 percent of employers stated that they currently offer telemedicine benefits. Patients recently surveyed stated that they desire more flexible access to their physician with less wait times. "By empowering physicians with technology, physicians can continue to be in charge of directing the care of our patients", states Dr. Nunnery.

Dr. Nunnery is Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and is on faculty at Baylor College of Medicine and clinical faculty at the University of Texas Medical Medical Branch in the Department of Family Medicine. She is a member of the National Medical Association, and the Mary Susan Moore Medical Society.

Errol Pierre

Errol Pierre has over 15 years of health care experience and currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Commercial Business at Empire BlueCross BlueShield. In this role he provides strategic and operational direction for the company and the 3.5 million members it serves.

Prior to Empire, Errol spent over 5 years at Healthfirst Inc., the largest Medicaid and Medicare health plan in New York City and Long Island serving close to 1.4 million members. During his tenure, he spearheaded various product launches and initiatives including the Affordable Care Act, the Health & Recovery Program, standing up a retention call center and a broker sales team, and launching a brand new Commercial EPO product sold to small businesses. As a result of this work, Errol has been featured in Crain’s NY, ABC News, PIX 11, Arise TV, Ebony magazine, 880AM WWOR, and 107.5FM WBLS discussing healthcare policy and politics.

A Bronx, New York resident, Errol graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He later obtained a Master’s degree in Health Policy and Financial Management from New York University. He is now anadjunct professor at Molloy College teaching Health Economics in their Healthcare MBA program.

In his spare time, Errol collects art from the African diasporaand runs a local tourism business in Harlem, NY called Harlem Pub Crawls. He also volunteers as the vice-chair of the West Side YMCA Board, a board member and chair of the Health & Wellness Committee for One Hundred Black Men of Long Island, and a proud member of the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE). He visits Haiti twice a year as a volunteer for the YMCA D’ Haiti and the NY chapter of the National Organization for the Advancement of Haitians (NOAH). Lastly, in 2017 he was an Executive Producer for 1804: The Hidden History of Haiti, a critically acclaimed documentary directed by Tariq Nasheed.

Ghazal Hassan is Associate Professor, University Mohammed Premier, Morocco and the University Mohamed VI for Health Sciences in Casablanca where he is the coordinator of the first Health Informatics Master program in North Africa, in partnership with the National Library of Medicine. Fulbright Scholar alumnus, at the National Center for Biotechnology Information. President, of the Moroccan Society for Telemedicine and eHealth. Board member, of the International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth. Member and Coordinator for Morocco, in the NIH-funded H3 African bioinformatics Network. Former Board Observer member, at the European Bioinformatics Network. His research interests include Genomics, Bioinformatics and Medical Informatics.

Kathleen E. Sharp, MD

Kathleen E. Sharp, MD, is a board certified Family Physician with a specialty in Sports Medicine. Dr. Sharp has a Health Coach Certification through Villanova University School of Nursing, Center for Obesity Prevention and Education. She became a physician because of her fascination with the human body.

Dr. Sharp is intrigued by the complexity of the nervous system and the beauty of muscle movements, the efficiency of the circulatory system and the resiliency of the immune system. Every day that she can help someone better understand how their body works, brings joy to her heart. Her philosophy is, if we take care of our bodies they will take care of us. Dr. Sharp’s ultimate goal as a physician is to educate people on how to eat, sleep, exercise and stimulate their minds for optimal health.

Tricia “CK” Hoffler Esq

Tricia “CK” Hoffler is the CEO of The CK Hoffler Firm, an Atlanta-based law firm that specializes in representing plaintiffs in trucking accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death, catastrophic personal injury, civil rights litigation, commercial litigation, employment discrimination, opioid litigation and global commercial transactions. Ms. Hoffler is licensed in 5 states including Georgia, Florida, Virginia, DC and Pennsylvania. To date, Ms. Hoffler has tried and/or settled cases totaling over $800,000 million. An accomplished attorney, Ms. Hoffler was previously a partner at Edmond, Lindsay & Hoffler, LLP. and a partner at Gary, Williams et al. in Florida. While a partner at Gary, Williams et al., she ran the commercial and international litigation practice for the Willie Gary for 12 years. She is also counsel to civil rights icon, The Reverend Jesse Jackson and has represented him, and the Rainbow Push and related organizations for the past 30 years. Ms. Hoffler also lectures extensively on trial strategies and winning trial techniques throughout the nation.

Ms. Hoffler brings a diverse set of skills and talents to the practice of law. She speaks French fluently and is proficient in Spanish and Portuguese.

Ms. Hoffler has managed several billion-dollar commercial cases, and in 2000, she co-led the trial team that won the largest medical negligence verdict ever in Roanoke, Virginia. She also co-led the trial team in 2012 and won the largest medical negligence verdict in Gwinnett County at that time. She has served as a trial lawyer on various other high-profile cases, including representation of the Roger Maris family against Anheuser-Bush in a breach of contract case that resulted in a $139 million-dollar verdict. Ms. Hoffler has also worked on significant civil rights and children’s rights cases that have resulted in bringing much needed justice for American citizens. She served as counsel in a class action lawsuit on behalf of 4,800 African- American and Latino civil service workers against the State of New York. Better known as Simpson v. State of New York, this case resulted in a historic settlement for the plaintiffs in 2010 and forced the elimination of the “battery test” as a basis for promotion within the ranks of civil servants in New York.

Ms. Hoffler has extensive professional work experience throughout Africa, Europe and the Caribbean. She has represented foreign interests and foreign governments and lobbied on behalf of various foreign countries while in practice in Washington, DC. She developed a new privatization practice for her firm in foreign markets, and managed the general representation of diverse local, national and international corporations and foreign governments. She participated in her firm's efforts to advise a foreign government on reformation of its drug trafficking and money laundering laws. In addition, she has furnished advice and counsel to various African nations, including Angola, Guinea (Conakry) and Gabon, concerning election procedures and policies, and helped coordinate US Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) participation in elections. She also provided on-going legal counsel to numerous foreign government clients in their democratization process.

Ms. Hoffler was educated in Switzerland (College du Leman, University of Geneva), Canada (Branksome Hall) and the United States. She received her law degree from Georgetown University and her undergraduate degree from Smith College.

A service-oriented attorney, Ms. Hoffler’s community involvement includes active participation in pro bono law clinics, extensive lecturing on First Amendment matters, women’s issues, children's concerns and international matters. She was intricately involved in the merit retention efforts related to the Florida Supreme Court and successfully co-chaired Florida Supreme Court Justice Peggy Quince's campaign for merit retention.

Ms. Hoffler served on the boards of The Pine School (Stuart, Florida), Georgetown University Law Alumni Board (Washington, DC), Planned Parenthood of South Florida (West Palm Beach, Florida) and Women in Philanthropy (Stuart, Florida - founding member), the Washington Urban League (Washington, DC), Norfolk Airport Authority (former Commissioner, Norfolk, Virginia), Places and Programs for Children, Inc. (Norfolk, Virginia), Old Dominion University Education Foundation (Norfolk, Virginia), and Contemporary Arts Center of Virginia (Virginia Beach, Virginia). She is also a very active member of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA) and hosts an informal shadowing program for lawyers throughout Georgia who she mentors. Ms. Hoffler is a frequent lecturer for various bar associations including the American Bar Association, GABWA, the Gate City Bar, and the National Bar Association, to name a few. She is frequently requested to lecture based on her knowledge and expertise in various trial strategies, and every aspect of trial work.

Ms. Hoffler is a trailblazing trial lawyer and has received numerous accolades and awards for outstanding contributions to her profession and philanthropy. Ms. Hoffler was named "Woman of the Year" for 2011/2012 by the National Association of Professional Women for her demonstrated excellence and dedication within her profession. She has also won numerous awards for excellence and her contributions as a lawyer. These awards include various National Bar Association Presidential Awards, the National Bar Association Governor’s Award, the Gate City Bar Association A.T. Walden “Legacy” Award, the “Esquire Award” for the Small Firms and Solo Practitioners’ Division of the National Bar Association, an award from the National Bar Judicial Council in recognition for commitment to service and outstanding fundraising in 2014, a Certificate of Silver Life Membership to the NAACP, the “Recognition of Support, Commitment, and Service” award from the Judicial Council of the National Bar Association, an award for Outstanding Service and Contributions to the Theological Scholarship Foundation of the Tidewater Metro Baptist Minister’s Conference, the “Majestic Leader” Award from The Lott Carey Baptist Foreign Mission Convention, and a feature in the March 2012 edition of The Informer to name a few. In July 2018, she received the prestigious Leah Ward Sears Award for Distinction in the Profession Founders Award from GABWA.
